How We Work as a Team
Channel Letter is a Midrand based business serving sign-makers nationwide, with regular work across Sandton, Pretoria, the East Rand, the West Rand and Durban. Our day to day work includes machine support, training, spares, installation planning and after-sales help, so the right person needs to be practical and calm under pressure.
We hire people who can work with their hands, communicate clearly and keep records in order. The job can involve on-site visits, phone support, machine checks and helping customers through load-shedding issues, power surges and production deadlines. It is steady work, but never dull.
The Kinds of Roles We Hire For
We do not post a long open vacancy list. Instead, we build a team around the work that keeps the business moving. If you have experience in signage, engineering support, technical sales, training or field service, we would like to hear from you.
- Technical support and machine setup
- Installations and site coordination
- Sales and customer care
- Training and production coaching
- Operations, stock and dispatch support
- Admin and client follow up
What Good Candidates Usually Bring
We look for people who can work neatly, think ahead and keep customers informed. Experience with sign-making equipment, coils, returns, electrical basics or workshop tools helps, but a strong work ethic matters just as much. If you are willing to learn and take instruction well, that counts.
Useful traits include:
- Clear spoken and written communication
- Basic computer and message use
- Problem solving on site or in the workshop
- Respect for safety and tidy work areas
- Ability to travel when needed
Training, Growth and Daily Support
New team members do not just get sent out and left to figure things out. We provide product guidance, job shadowing and practical coaching from people who know the equipment and the pressures of signage production. That includes machine operation, maintenance basics, material selection and customer handover.
As your confidence grows, you may help with refresher training, remote tech support, commissioning or preventative servicing. It is a good fit for someone who wants to build a stable career in a specialised trade, not just a short term job.
Where You Might Work and Travel
Our base is in Midrand, but the work often reaches customers in Gauteng and further afield. Depending on the role, you may support installations, deliveries or service calls in local industrial areas and on regional projects. Some days are workshop based, others take you to a factory floor or a new site before opening time.
- Midrand and surrounding industrial areas
- Sandton and Pretoria
- East Rand and West Rand sites
- Durban and coastal customer work when required
People who handle travel well and can keep a level head on site usually settle in quickly, even when the schedule changes and the traffic is rough.
